Washington, D.C.
Shaw Neighborhood & A Big House That’s White
I’m not going to lie, i don’t feel my time in d.c. made me enough of an expert to produce an epic “must-see” guide to the city. I did, however, want to share a few more moments from my trip.
Eating something new.
We ventured over to the uber-trendy Shaw Neighborhood for lunch after a morning viewing the National Archives. On the menu? Authentic Ethiopian cuisine. It was delicious, and I seriously recommend checking it out if you are a big lover of Indian and Mediterranean foods. I had no idea how to pronounce anything, so it was one of those point to a dish and hope for the best moments. Rest assured, it was the best.
Wearing something new.
I picked this cardigan/dress/top hybrid in the Zara in Georgetown. It is a bold layering piece to say the least, but I’m all for a styling challenge. This piece is sold out now, but if I can find something similar, I’ll link it in the SHOP MY LOOK portion of this post.
Trying something new.
Well, I’ve done the whole subway thing in New York. But since every city’s public transportation is different, it’s always a fun time figuring out how to get around like a local. This trip’s conclusion? The metro in D.C. is much more picturesque than some of New York’s stations.
SHOP MY LOOK
And that concludes my posts from my trip to washington d.c. this summer.
I have been truly blessed to spend time in both NYC and D.C. this summer and know I’ll always hold on to the memories from these trips. I hope you’ve enjoyed following along. That’s all for now. xx
xoxoxo, zo
