This one goes out to all my impractical sisters who just never seem to be satisfied with a simple black pump and leather ankle bootie. I’m no fan of mindless consumption. (Read: don’t buy the furry heeled sandals from Forever 21 just because they went on sale for $15). I do, however, love the idea of embracing a fun, playful moment with footwear. It’s like:
“Blah, blah, she’s wearing jeans and a t-shirt, but wait. She’s wearing leopard print high-tops??!!“
Why, yes. I am.
So, if you’re anything like me – never shying away bystanders’ double-takes and a few new blisters – read on for a few of my impractical shoe choices for this season.
A Touch of Luxe
An instant way to up your shoe game? Add some texture. Look for metallics and velvets in everything from loafers to stilettos. Bonus points if you opt for a super-trendy corduroy pair.
Animal Print
Let me tell you about my love for an animal print shoe. Or rather, let me show you. Just look at the styles below and let those heart-eye emoji feelings come through.
White Shoes
No white shoes after Labor Day? Mmmmm, no thank you. I’ll have all the white shoes, please. Oh, and I’ll probably wear black with navy while I’m at it.
Platform Sneakers
And last but not least, the platform sneaker. You know you’re a maximalist when you take a perfectly sensible sneaker and slap a few extra inches of sole on the bottom for literally no reason. I am strong advocate for near-broken ankle experiences, so you’ll definitely catch me clonking around in these stunners.
XOXOXO, ZO
