Day-dressing: a verb I potentially made up but will stand behind fully for the remainder of this post. The holiday season was meant for the most – the most sequins, the most tinsel, the most overdrawn checking accounts.’Tis the season to be extra, so I’m going all in with a round-up of every over-the-top, sparkly, shiny, or fluffy daywear look you could possibly need. (But mostly you just need this fun plaid blazer).
This post idea came to me after seeing this image from Leandra Cohen (founder of ManRepeller.com), dawning not one but two layers of sequin tops in broad. freaking. daylight. I mean, imagine the grief you’d cause drivers with all that reflective goodness. I love it and need it. So, I’m writing a post dedicated to it.

Who says trees are the only ones who get to wear tinsel this season?
Fringe accents are the perfect nod to the holiday season. Try a fringe cardigan at your next soirée, or better yet, for your next Starbucks run.
Nothing says (screams) holiday season like an all-red outfit.
If you follow my Instagram, you’ll be familiar with my series in which I unpack some silly fashion terms you didn’t know you needed to know. A few weeks ago, I introduced the term “groutfit” (an all-grey outfit), so I guess today I’m bringing you a “routfit.” Debut a routfit for your final round of gift shopping (or first round, if you’re anything like me). The shopping malls won’t know what hit them.
Take a nod from those more regal than ai (J-Lo included, of course), fluffy Victorian sleeves are a must this season.
The tulle is optional, but really adds an extra kick when you’re out buying extra fruitcakes for all those holiday visitors…because it’s 1950 and we’re still convinced people like those things.
