Lake Como. February 16, 2020.
Lake Como is one of those places where your heart feels a little lighter. The cobblestone streets, the milky skies, the change of pace from its bustling neighbor, Milano. “Lago di Como” feels like a constant state of spring – even on a chilly February day.
I had the chance to experience the beauty of Como just a few weeks back on a Sunday trip with others from my school in Milan. We wandered the streets for a while (my favorite thing about traveling in new towns), took a little “tour” of some important hubs on the famous lake. Stood where Napoleon did…which is pretty cool. Saw a statue of the guy who made batteries a thing…so shout out to him. Then ate a burger with friends because our bodies physically couldn’t take anymore (sorry @ Italy) tomato and basil based delicacies after three weeks living in Milan.
