Hey everyone! School is quickly approaching, unfortunately, and in this post I decided to give my tips on how to put your best foot (or rather, face) forward this school year. I think that makeup should be fun, but you should still look like yourself! Never feel like you have to cover yourself up. Makeup is a good way to accentuate what you have and show off your killer personality while doing it! Here is the second installment in my back-to-school series. . . Hope you enjoy!
MAKEUP THAT POPS
Smashbox Primer Makup Forever Waterproof Concealer Rimmel Stay Matte Powder |
For school, I recommend skipping the cakey foundation (especially if you have PE). However, I would say that using a primer, long-lasting concealer, and setting powder are a good way to go! Keep it simple. . . the more layers you pile on, the higher chance of a makeup fail you’ll have!
Urban Decay Naked 2 |
Whether you splurge on a Urban Decay palette or hit up your local drugstore, a neutral palette is a staple for a girl who loves to play up her eyes, while keeping it effortlessly pretty is perfect, and will get you through the school year like a breeze!
Clinique Superfine Brow Pencil |
Filling in my brows gives me a HUGE confidence boost %100 of the time. Brows frame your eyes, so don’t neglect them! They need love too…
Maybelline Color Tattoo Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow |
A lazy girl’s guide to eyes that pop! Cream eyeshadow is super easy to use, and adds that extra boost of color to your look. There are a ton of options for every price-point, so I would recommend picking one of these up if your known for sleeping in!
Fun eyeliner (including the ombre eyes from my video) is a super cool way to express your personality. Trust me, people notice that extra pop of color or sprinkle of glitter. . .it may even catch your crush’s eye as you bat your eyelashes freamingly! (;
Benefit They’re Real! Mascara |
Make sure you have a long-lasting mascara on hand! Fluttery lashes that aren’t clumpy or smudgy creates an effortlessly pretty “yes these are my natural eyelashes” effect.
Benefit Boxed Powder in Rockateur |
Get a blush that looks natural… I personally think that a rose gold toned one looks beautiful on everyone, but the main thing is. . . don’t over do it! Unless you’re going for a geometric look, striped blush is not always super cute.
Revlon Balm Stains in Sweetheart and Rendezvous MAC lipstick in Syrup |
Last but not least, lips! These balm stain hybrids by Revlon are perfect for school because they keep your lips moisturized and stay put all day. Also, is a your-lips-but-better lip stick is a great way to subtly amp up your flirty pout without feeling the need to check your lips every two minutes!
Hopefully this post gave you a little inspiration on how to play up your features and personality through your makeup! These were just a few of my tips and opinions. . . needless to say, I’m not an expert. Still, happy back-to-school!
