SO LET’S CHAT
As yesterday was the start of everyone’s faaaaavorite month of the year, I thought I’d give a little ode to autumn by compiling a list of six must-try lip products. Some of my old favorites as well as a few new finds that you have to get your hands on. . .
and they’re all under $12!

MAYBELLINE BLISSFUL BERRY 410
This little guy has been in my collection for a year or two now, and it is hands down m go-to for a wearable berry lip. I love a dark lip in the fall, but sometimes they can be a bit too much for our everyday fall activities (pumpkin patch, anyone?) This shade has a slight sheen to it and keeps my lips looking and feeling moisturized throughout the day. Layer it up for a bold look or sheer it out with a little lip balm for the best berry lip you could ever find.
MAYBELLINE GONE GRIEGE 760
I bought this shade about a month ago and was very skeptical at first. It was an adjustment for someone who typically stays in the deep purple – berry range for fall lip colors. I won’t say this color is grey, but it is definitely a greyed out taupe. BUT YOU GUYS. After a few trials, I can honestly say that this grungy-chic shade is a must this year. It’s uber matte and doesn’t dry my lips out at all- take that, liquid lipsticks. Remember when Maybelline’s Divine Wine blew up last year? Well, this shade is certainly following in its footsteps. So act fast!! Seriously on-trend and a seriously good buy if you can get your hands on it.
TOPSHOP ROLE MODEL
I picked this shade up while shopping in New York last year, so I hope it’s still available. I’m including this because it reminds me so much of Bite Beauty’s Aubergine Matte Lip Pencil (which I adore to this ends of the earth, by the way). But if you’re searching for a cheaper alternative to that, look no further. I have worn this in a ton of berry-lipped blogposts because it just photographs so well. Not quite as comfortable or luxurious as Bite’s, but still it’s super cute and a great deep shade to amp up your looks this fall.
COLOURPOP ULTRA SATIN LIP NOVEMBER
This warm rose shade is so easy to wear. Something about it just instantly livens and brightens your complexion. When I bought this, I had no idea what a “satin lip” was. I’ve come to realize that it just means almost-matte without the dry feeling. I’m not going to say this is the most comfortable formula I’ve ever tried, but it is definitely a fun color that I can always depend on to boost my makeup.
COLOURPOP ULTRA SATIN LIP HUTCH
I have such a love-hate relationship with this shade. It is SO dark on my skin tone, but there is something about the drama that just makes me want to wear it when ever I can. With the same formula as November, this shade is extra long wearing. However, I would recommend using a lip liner before applying because have a mentioned how dark this color is?! Mega fall vibes from this shade. If you love a dramatic lip, add this shade to your arsenal!
REVLON MATTE BALM FIERCE 265
My love for Revlon’s matte balms (and the glossy shade, as well) knows no bounds. They last forever. They moisturize my lips. The shades are gorgeous. AND they smell like peppermint. These are the many reasons I always migrate towards this stand in the drugstore to see what’s new. This burnt red shade is very unexpected, but at the same time, it’s just so wearable. It’s a great way to switch up a red-lipped look. I sometimes even wear this shade with no eye makeup, just letting it have it’s moment. LOVE.
Hope you love these shades as much as I do. What’s your go-to lip?
